Step 1

Step 1 - Wash, dry & blow-waveYour hair is washed and conditioned at the basin before being blow waved straight.

Step 2

Step 2 - Application to neckTo conceal the bonds, we leave a small section of hair at the nape of the neck. This ensures that you have a natural and seamless result when your hair is styled in a ponytail or bun.

Step 3

Step 3 - Shield protectionTo protect the surrounding sections of hair from being treated, we place a fine, V-shaped section of hair about 1.5 cm in length in a shield.

Step 4

Step 4 - Top section applicationWe place a keratin bond on top of the section being treated and warm the bond to join the extension with your hair. Then the stylist will quickly manipulate the bond and ensure it is wrapped around the hair shaft tightly.

Step 5

Step 5 - Sealing toolTo complete the bond and make sure it’s secure, a special tool is used to seal and lock the bond to your hair.

Step 6

Step 6 - Process is repeated until completeYour stylist completes steps 3 to 5 until they finish the set and have created a natural result. The time this takes will vary between clients depending on hair type and the number of extensions required.

Step 7

Step 7 - Extensions process is complete (pre cut and style)Your hair is cut, re-styled and blow-waved to compliment the new extensions and blend them with your existing hair. Your hair must remain unwashed for at least 48 hours to allow the bonds to fully dry and seal, after this time the hair you can washed and colour your hair as normal.

Imperial Crest Tip

For the best result, clients that colour their hair should have between four to six weeks regrowth,as keratin is a natural product, it does not bind well will processed hair.
