Port Melbourne Open Mebourne Cup Day

Our Port Melbourne store will be opening very early Melbourne Cup Day for clients heading out to the races or a special event. Bookings for Melbourne Cup Day appointments are an essential, as we will only be open long enough to complete our appointments, will be booking clients back-to-back and will not be able to accommodate walk-ins. The day fills up very fast so the earlier you book, the higher likelihood of securing an appointment time that suits your schedule.

More generally, Spring Carnival is a very busy time for both salons, it’s advisable to book your appointments well in advance to ensure you get the appointment time you’re after over this busy period.

Brazil Cacau Health Information

Our salon results come second only to our clients and staff’s safety and health, this is why we only stock formaldehyde free products including out straightening treatments. The Brazil Cacau treatment is an amazing process that both salons teams have worked with for over 12 months. We perform many keratin treatments each week and already investigated the formaldehyde levels in keratin straightening formulas long before it was an issue in the media.

So that you have all the ground level information, we have provided copies of the documents issued to us from our suppliers, including the results of scientific testing for formaldehyde levels, and in addition, you can always contact any of our friendly staff at any of our salons if you have further queries or concerns.

About Us

Our Imperial Crest salon in Brighton is a boutique style hair salon on the busy Church St shopping strip. Surrounding the business are restaurants and clothing stores and the salon is located only a stone’s throw away from the beach. The company has another location in Port Melbourne with plans for future growth to other suburbs over the coming years.

The salon maintains a very busy yet very friendly atmosphere, boasting that it’s been the best job some of our employees have ever had! We strive and succeed in making our clients feel at home by creating both a great working atmosphere and fantastic team environment, all thanks to a very creative and passionate team.

What we are looking for in our apprentices

Must be bubbly and energetic, is someone who wants to forge a career in hairdressing. Passionate, hair focused and is prepared to work hard. Someone who works well under pressure and is serious about their future goal.

The ideal applicant would fit the following criteria:

Must be a 1st or 2nd year apprentice
Must have an vibrant personality and love chatting to people
Have a willingness to learn and work in a very busy environment
Be well presented and professional in front of clients
Must be comfortable taking on responsibilities like opening and taking appointments
Must be 17 or older
Must speak fluent English
Be comfortable working weekends including Sundays

What the position offers

We offer full federal awards, including all penalty rates and award allowances. Additionally we offer amazing commissions on the work you do.

This position offers award conditions as its base that includes:

Generous bonuses calculated on 4% of your net earnings
Styling and cutting training provided by Schwarzkopf

Queens Birthday Weekend
