About Us
Our Imperial Crest salon in Brighton is a boutique style hair salon on the busy Church St shopping strip. Surrounding the business are restaurants and clothing stores and the salon is located only a stone’s throw away from the beach. The company has another location in Port Melbourne with plans for future growth to other suburbs over the coming years.
The salon maintains a very busy yet very friendly atmosphere, boasting that it’s been the best job some of our employees have ever had! We strive and succeed in making our clients feel at home by creating both a great working atmosphere and fantastic team environment, all thanks to a very creative and passionate team.
What we are looking for in our apprentices
Must be bubbly and energetic, is someone who wants to forge a career in hairdressing. Passionate, hair focused and is prepared to work hard. Someone who works well under pressure and is serious about their future goal.
The ideal applicant would fit the following criteria:
- Must be a 1st or 2nd year apprentice
- Must have an vibrant personality and love chatting to people
- Have a willingness to learn and work in a very busy environment
- Be well presented and professional in front of clients
- Must be comfortable taking on responsibilities like opening and taking appointments
- Must be 17 or older
- Must speak fluent English
- Be comfortable working weekends including Sundays
What the position offers
We offer full federal awards, including all penalty rates and award allowances. Additionally we offer amazing commissions on the work you do.
This position offers award conditions as its base that includes:
- Full federal award rates including all penalties rates and allowances
- Annual leave
- Superannuation
On top of this, the position includes:
- Generous bonuses calculated on 4% of your net earnings
- Styling and cutting training provided by Schwarzkopf
- Career training provided by the business
